Service Description

Let your kids drop back in time when they join in on unstructured play, home cooked meals, zero screens and hands-on learning with our gentle livestock. From gathering eggs to feeding horses, mini-donkeys, cleaning paddocks or just giving some attention to Penelope the Pig or Lorenzo the Llama, the kids start out the day by taking care of the farm livestock, then engage in active free play. We aim to build resilience and confidence in every child who walks onto the property while making sure they are safe and making incredible memories and new friends. There are not a lot of agendas that we have for the kids, and only a few rules: Be kind to the animals and each other. Don't go out of bounds without a leader. We don't say, "I can't," we say "I can't, YET!" The kids will get their hands dirty. We encourage messy. We encourage being brave. We don't make a big deal out of bumps and scrapes, other than to breathe, clean it up and keep being a kid. We let them figure it out.... ways of getting a wall for a fort up, how to get a bucket of water to the sheep, putting a tarp up for a tent or just building a swing out of anything they can find. We feed them... sometimes it's fun food and usually it's good food. Hot burgers, noodles and sauce, veggie trays, fresh fruit, yogurt, pancakes, eggs, tacos and lots of cold, pure well water. We hug if they need one, we let them run. We let them lay in the sun and do nothing. We think bored is a good way to practice being present and patient. We don't say 'be careful', we say 'think about how to be safe'. "Be scared and do it anyway."
